Necessary Awareness is one of Pete Powerz’s most personal and purposeful projects—a hip-hop album created to bring greater understanding and awareness to autism through music, storytelling, and real-life perspective.

For Powerz, autism awareness is personal. As the father of an autistic daughter, he approaches the subject not as an outsider, but through the experiences, questions, challenges, love, and growth that come with being a parent. The project reflects his commitment to using music as a way to encourage awareness, acceptance, understanding, and support for families touched by autism.

Across 11 tracks, Necessary Awareness explores different sides of that journey with records such as “Blue Hearts & Puzzle Pieces,” “Evaluation (Skit),” “Safe With Me,” “Sensory Issues,” “The Key Annora Jae,” “Baby Girl Therapy,” “Different Frequency,” and the title track “Necessary Awareness.”

The album brings Pete Powerz’s Bronx-rooted hip-hop identity into a project built around something bigger than music: awareness, acceptance, understanding, family, and love. It gives listeners an opportunity to experience autism through another perspective while reminding families touched by autism that their stories deserve to be heard.

Released through YeZ S.i.R. Records LLC, Necessary Awareness represents another dimension of Pete Powerz—not simply the MC known for gritty New York lyricism and wordplay, but a father using his platform with purpose.

A portion of the proceeds from every purchase of Necessary Awareness will be donated to an autism-related charitable organization selected by YeZ S.i.R. Records LLC, allowing every purchase to help support a greater cause.
